Youth cultural and educational center "Abay" opened by EKSU in Poland
In the year of youth, announced by the President of Kazakhstan, S. Amanzholov EKSU with the support of the akimat of East Kazakhstan region, opened a youth cultural and educational center "Abay" in the country of the European Union - Poland.
The center is opened in Linguistics-technical University of Moscow. Świecie (Swiecie) in Poland.
-Within the Framework of the year of youth, as well as the program "Rukhani Zhangyru" and the program article of the President of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev "Seven faces of the great steppe", S. Amanzholov EKSU opens the youth scientific and educational center "Abay" in Poland to familiarize European youth with the culture of Kazakhstan and promote it in the world, - commented the rector of S. Amanzholov EKSU Mukhtar adilbekovich Tolegen.
According to the rector, the purpose of the new unique center is to popularize and expand the knowledge of Polish students about the traditions and customs of the Kazakh people, as well as the work of the great poet-educator Abay - a representative of not only the national, but also the world's top Treasury of poetic culture, the founder and classic of Kazakh literature, philosopher, thinker, native of East Kazakhstan Abay Kunanbayev (Ibrahim).
In addition, it is planned to develop bilateral educational and cultural ties, develop academic mobility and double-degree education between universities of the two countries. The center will become a dialogue platform for the exchange of cultures, educational programs and international scientific projects.
The program of the event includes the opening of the center, the presentation of the great Kazakh poet's work, as well as the presentation of scientific and educational activities of S. Amanzholov EKSU.
Both sides have done a lot of work to open the center. The Polish side has allocated a separate building, for the design of which books about Kazakhstan in Polish, English, Kazakh and Russian, as well as cultural artifacts were transferred. In turn, S. Amanzholov EKSU donated a bust of Abay by sculptor Dauren Doschanov and a painting "Abay" by artist Alibek Shokanov, which have cultural value.
-I want to note that the name of the great Abay in the name of the center appeared not by chance. Abay is one of the most significant symbols of Kazakh culture. And for East Kazakhstan people, he is also a countryman, a genius born and raised on our land. In addition, our University has a rich tradition of Abay studies, there is a scientific school of a famous scientist in Kazakhstan Aizhan Maratbekovna Kartayeva, who is part of the delegation of EKSU present at this holiday. Major local history conferences are held at the University, monographs and scientific articles are published, theses and master's theses devoted to understanding the genius of Abay are written. This means that our scientists and students can tell a lot about Abai and his worldview poetry, " Tolegen said.
At the end of the meeting, the cultural program of the Kazakh youth of EKSU studying in Poland was shown for the Polish partners, and the "Abay" gold medal was awarded to the rector of the Linguistic and technical University Elzbieta Sternal.
As a result of the visit of the delegation of the S. Amanzholov EKSU to the Linguistics- technical University, a Memorandum of cooperation was signed by the rector of the S. Amanzholov EKSU Mukhtar Adilbekovich Tolegen and the rector of the Linguistic and technical University Elzbieta Sternal. It is planned that this year, in turn, the delegation of the Linguistics and technical University (Poland) will open the Copernicus Center at the Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan state University. A great scientist with a world name, the Polish astronomer Nikolai Copernicus is no less significant figure for poles, as for Kazakhstanis - Abay.
